I am Dr.Kat Bowie, Psy.D. a Clinical Psychologist Licensed in the State of Missouri.  I am a Body Psychotherapist, a Certified Wholistic Energy Practitioner, a Certified Karuna Reiki Master and Certified Non-traditional Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and a Live and Whole Food Nutrtional Consultant (under the tutelage of Dr. Gabriel Cousens, M.D.). . 

In adddition to my individual private practice, I specialize in writing and presenting classes, seminars and webinars on a variety of subjects focusing on the integration of the Body, Mind, Emotions, and Spirit in manifesting positive changes in one's life. Some of my most recent classes include: Tonglen Meditation; Introduction to Live and Whole Food Nutrition; Basic Live and Whole Food Preparation; Accepting the Sweetness of Life - Living Without Diabetes;The Basics of Juice-Fasting; The Ultimate Relationship - Exlporing Our Intimate Relationship with Food and Nourishment; and Are You Feeding Wha's Eating You? Some of my courses include: The MELDING Process - Re-Integration of the Whole Self and Thin From Within.

I am the co-founder with Dr. Raphael Smith, Psy.D. HSPP of The Struan Center, LLC (ww.TheStruanCenter.com) a holistic healing arts facility. 

 

I am a columnist for Eating Well in Kansas City where my regular column is "Eating Live, Becoming Whole". I have been a regular contributor to Kansas City Wellness Magazine and Evolving Magazine.

I am a member of the Americian Psychological Association (APA), The Missouri Psychological Association (MOPA), a fellow of the American Board of Child Mental Health Service Providers, a member of the United States Association for Body Psychotherapists (USABP), a member of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM), and a member of Self-Realization Fellowship.  I am a member of the AhNiYvWiYa Tribe of Native Peoples and The Red Nation Society.

I graduated with my Doctorate in Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri in 1994 where I, also, received my Masters of Arts in Psychology. I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  My Associates of Science degree was received from Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  I am, currently, working on a second Masters in Live and Whole Food Nutrition from the University of Integrated Sciences California via The Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona,
