**UPCOMING EVENTS!!**

New CLASS starts Wednesday, August 26, 2009!!!

     Live and Whole Food Nutrition and Education Class

Beginning Wednesday, August 26, 2009 classes will be held twice a month on basic live and whole food preparation and education.

*Classes will include:

*What is Live and Whole Food/Raw Vegan?

*How do I gently add healthier foods into my diet?

*How does food impact my health and diseases/disorders such as: diabetes, chronic fatigue/fibro-myalgia syndrome, anxiety, depression, mental clarity, etc.?

*What does Live and Whole Food taste like?

**PLUS** Each class will feature a complete Live and Whole Food meal included in the price of the class

Class will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the cost of $30 per person and $50 per couple (meal included)

Classes will be held at 1719 Westport Road, Kansas City, MO 64111

Reservations ARE REQUIRED so as to make sure there is enough food prepared.

Join us for the Second Annual BLISS FEST! Dr. Kat will be talking on the main stage around 1 p.m. and will be available to chat with everyone in the speaker's tent and her booth about the new workshops and classes she will be offering!

AUGUST 2009

Beginning in August, Dr. Kat will be teaching basic classes on how to incorporate more whole, live foods into you diet and life. The classes are informal, fun, educational and will include basic food prep and education, hands-on instruction, eating of yummy whole, organic live food, and connecting with others of similar interests in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

Wednesday nights from 6 - 8:30 p.m. $30 per person/$50 per couple includes food, instruction and education. Reservations required.

***Additionally, Dr. Kat is talking with John Philips, M.S., Master Gardener and Master Gardener for the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona (www.treeoflife.nu) regarding bringing his week-long class on Master Gardening and Gardening for Peace (www.gardeningforpeace.com) to Kansas City early in 2010.

Dr. Bowie recently returned from a month-long Intensive at The Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona. This was part of her training for her Master's in Live and Whole Food Nutrition under the direction and mentorship of Gabriel Cousens, M.D. While at the Tree of Life, Dr. Kat studied with Dr. Gabriel Cousens (www.gabrielcousens.com) , David Wolfe, J.D. (www.thebestdayever, John Philips, M.S..com (Master Gardener [ www.gardeningforpeace.com; www.gardeningforpeace.org; www.gardeningforpeace.net]), Philip Madeley, M.A., Alan Beck, N.D., Tim Casey, M.A., Michela Casey (Master Chef), and Susan Miller Madeley, M.S. (www.susanmillercoaching.com).

Dr. Kat was recently been accepted in the Master's of Arts in Live and Whole Food Nutrition program through the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona. This is a fully accredited program under the direction of Dr. Gabriel Cousens, M.D. (www.treeoflife.nu  and  http://gabrielcousens.wholelife.com/)

In conjuntion with the MA in Live and Whole Food Nutrition, Dr. Bowie will become an Essene Minister and priestess with the completion of this program.

Congratulations to Dr. Kat Bowie. This month, Dr. Bowie completed a 92-Day Juice Feast!! During this time Dr. Bowie lost the diagnoses of Diabetes, Type-2 and of hypertension.  (Additionally, she dropped 50+# and felt great calmness) Yes, there IS a cure for many dis-eases out there, including diabetes (www.juicefeasting.com and www.rawfor30days.com).

Congratulations to Kat Robinson, owner and founder of Active Kat Yoga and Rejuventaion Center (www.activekatyoga.com) in Doniphan, MO.  Kat's DVD, Sewing Yoga, is featured in the "notions"section of the January 2008 issue of Threads magazine. She and her dedicated students were featured in the October 2006 issue of Fit Yoga magazine.  The article highlighted yoga in small towns across the United States. She has also been featured in Sew News magazine. Sewing Yoga  is a program designed for those who use a sewing machine frequently. It focuses on the stress of the upper body and back. This program is ideal for those sitting at a desk or computer all day. It is appropriate for beginners and experienced students alike.
